Grapevine member, Tessa, is the wife of the great Impressionist, Rory Bremner. We discuss her sculpting and art career including the sculpture she did for The Queen, of Ascot Gold Cup winner Estimate in 2016.

Tessa tells us how very nervewracking it was to 'get it right' and the hiccup she had early on in the commission of Estimate! We also hear how Rory's impressions of animals helped her with one of her commissions she had of hippos in Africa.
Tessa Campbell Fraser has established herself as one of the country’s leading equestrian and landscape artists.

Her interest in animals and anatomy led her to focus on sculpting, and in 2001 she was elected an Associate Member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors.

Tessa’s paintings and sculptures have been seen worldwide and are held in private collections including those of Her Majesty the Queen.

Tessa Campbell Fraser is accomplished in sculpture, oil painting and watercolour and has completed many commissions in all mediums.

Her work can be seen at The Natural History Museum, South Kensington, London until October 10.

Occasionally, this job throws up a genuine treat. One is to leave the centre of London by train on a typically frenetic, Friday, and little more than 30 minutes later be in a tranquil setting, surrounded by objects of rare calm and beauty.
